On his way to visit the south of Thailand, recently appointed Danish Ambassador, Michael Sternberg, made a stopover for the weekend at Mom Tris Boathouse to talk about details for the coming visit of H.R.H. Prince Henrik of Denmark. H.R.H. Prince Henrik will participate in the 20th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta to be held from 2 – 9 December 2006 on Kata Beach.
The Danish embassy in Bangkok is responsible for Thailand, Cambodia and Burma (Myanmar) and the Ambassador is an important link to strengthen relations between Danemark and the authorities, businesses, organizations, as well as the citizens in these countries.
By travelling to the south Mr. Sternberg wants to learn about cultural exchange, trade and investments and liaise between Danish expatriates and businessmen living in Thailand, as well as the Thai authorities and the populations.
Mom Tris Boathouse on Kata Beach was his first stop before leaving to go further to the south.
