Dennelind will take over the CMO responsibility from Chee Pok Jin, who has decided to resign in order to take on a new challenge as Chief Operating Officer of Mobile 8 in Indonesia.
As DiGi CMO, Dennelind’s core responsibilities will include managing four key areas; customer service; marketing communications; product management and development; and sales and distribution.
DiGi Chief Executive Officer Morten Lundal explained that the decision to appoint the current CFO as CMO was a natural step.
“In the DiGi management, we work together to resolve all important issues as a team, regardless of each other’s specialization. Johan has been actively involved in all marketing strategies since he joined DiGi. When Pok Jin decided to leave, it is natural to turn to Johan, and I am convinced he will take on this role with ease.”
Morten Lundal comes with broad experience in the telecommunications business, serving in leading positions including Deputy CEO of Telenor AB prior to his 2004 appointment as DiGi CFO.
On Carlsson’s appointment, Lundal said, “I am also pleased to welcome Stefan, whom I am sure will strengthen our management team. His experience will come in handy in meeting the company’s needs moving forward.”
Stefan Carlsson brings to DiGi nine years of varied experience in the telecommunication and financial sectors. He is respected for his ability to implement quality processes and build strong finance functions in competitive markets.
