Passengers from Finland to Thailand is Up by 27%

Traffic between Helsinki and Asia grew by as much as 30%, with more than 910,000 passengers traveling to Asia.
In 2006, Thailand is among the most popular Asian destinations, with 248,900 passengers (up by27%) flying out to Thailand last year. Also China with 335,000 passengers (up by 24%) and Japan with 204,000 passengers (up by 33%).
The greatest increase in passenger volume was seen in the international schedules traffic (13.9%) while domestic traffic passenger volume also rose by 4.4% from the previous year.
Direct service to Nagoya was launched in June 2006 and to Delhi in October 2006. Once the Kuala Lumpur service starts in May 2007, Helsinki-Vantaa Airport will offer a total of eleven Asian scheduled destinations.
