The Norwegian Church in Pattaya to move

The Norwegian Seaman’s Church in Pattaya is moving from its current location at Tappraya Road, Soi 5 to a bigger house in Soi 7. The new area is much larger and will be including three offices, a meeting room and a small chapel. It also has large garden which will be taken into use already February 18th when the concert with Rune Larsen and Helge Nilsen will take place. The garden also has a small Buddhist area which will remain there as a symbol of the Thai culture.
“The new house will need some change, but we expect the work to be finished in time for us to move in to the new house in March”, says Hans Konrad Nyvoll who works with the church. The new church building is rented on a three year contract with the option of purchase.
Sunday February 11th, the service attracted 41 Norwegians. Most of them stayed for the barbeque after the service. Until further notice Sunday services and other church activities will take place in Soi 5 which has been the church’s residence for the last 2 years.
