A Swedish company Alfa Laval, a provider of heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling technologies, has received some purchase agreements, approximately SEK 50 million, from a Vietnamese ship builder.
“Vietnam is a rapidly growing market for Alfa Laval and we expect to double sales in 2007,” says Lars Renström, Alfa Laval’s President and CEO.
“The marine industry is gaining ground very fast in Vietnam with total export value in the sector grew from USD 70 million during 2003 to USD 4.5 billion during 2006,” adds Renström and continues “this means of course a large possibility for companies serving the marine industry.” he concludes.
The orders are slated to deliver in 2007 and 2008.
