Petropod Signed a US$442 Million Deal With a Singapore Rig Builder

Petropod, a norwegian firm specializes in mobile production and field development for small and medium-sized oilfields, has ordered SembCorp Marine, a Singapore rig builder, to build a rig for use in the North Sea in mid-2010 under a US$442 million contract.
The contract went to SembCorp Marine subsidiary, Jurong Shipyard.
Since the begining of 2007, SembCorp Marine has earned US$3.9 billion of new contracts with deliveries booked until 2010, the firm reported.
