Denmark to Participated in VietFish Expo 2007

The Vietnam International Fisheries Fair & Exhibition, Vietfish 2007, held on June 12-14 at the Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition and Conventions Center, Tan Binh District, is set to showcase seafood, processing equipment, transport services, and consulting services for the industry.
Some 250 booths promoting over 100 companies, including many from Singapore, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Japan, Norway and China, are expected to attract 50,000 visitors including many European businesses, all seeking global exposure.
Fisheries officials are hoping on Vietfish as a catalyst to help the industry achieve its seafood export target of US$3.75 billion – a year-on-year jump of 7.1 percent.
The organizer of the fair since 1999, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), will open a two-day seminar on sustainable fish farming in cooperation with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization on June 13 – 14.
