Jotun Paints Vietnam celebrated 5th Anniversary

Jotun Paints Vietnam has over its first five years in Vietnam achieved the leading positions in the marine and industrial paint sectors. The Norwegian company continues its rapid and ambitious growth, committed also to development of the Vietnamese society.
      The 5 Year Anniversary was celebrated 21st March 2003 when around 200 customers and suppliers and special guests gathered in one of the most prestigious hotel of Ho Chi Minh City. All the staff dressed up with happily fresh faces for their day, the multi-colour celebration took place in a special vibrant and fully energetic atmosphere. The heat of Jotun colorful life inspired to the all participants.
      The ceremony was attended by the Vice Chairman of People Committee of Binh Duong Province, where Jotun Paints Vietnam factory and headquarter located, with other high-ranking local officials. The local staff was joined by overseas guests, Mr. Peder Bohlin – Group Executive Vice President, and Mr. Esben Hersve – SEA Regional Director.
      The quality products and the dedicated professional team are the key success factors for Jotun Vietnam which has doubled its sales turnover since starting manufacturing in Vietnam. It has won a considerable numbers of reputable projects and more importantly it has gained the trust from the reputable customers and won the heart of the local community.
      The appreciation of Jotun’s contribution to the local province development was stated by the Vice- Chairman in his speech in the opening part of the ceremony. Jotun replied by donating decorative paint to repaint the Southern Juvenile Center – a place providing career orientation training as well as organizing the social activities and volunteer activities for the youth in the South bringing diversified benefits to the community.
      The celebration was also a time for the Vietnam penguin team to share their colorful achievements with the customers, and friends. On the occasion, two loyal staffs have worked for Jotun Vietnam for 10 years were awarded and heartily congratulated by the corporate management and their colleagues.
      The evening provided live music and entertainment by well-known local artists and the glitter of a hot confetti bomb and cold solid ice-carved Penguin with a bright sparkling JOTUN sign on it added to the festive atmosphere.
