Norwegian Thome Appoints Danish Managing Director

Bjorn Hojgaard, a Danish national, has been appointed managing director of the Norwegian company Thome Ship Management, one of Singapore’s leading mangers specialising in oil and gas (LNG and Lpg) tankers, with immediate effect. The 39-year-old will report directly to Thome Group President and Chief Executive Officer Olav Eek Thorstensen.
Hojgaard who comes from an AP Moller position in Hong Kong was managing director of AP Moller Singapore between 2000 and 2002. He joined the AP Moller Group in 1993 and is a graduate of the Maersk Advanced Education Scheme for the training of officers. Hed also holds a Ship’s Masters’ degree from the Svendborg Navigationsskole in Denmark.
Thome Group President and Chief Executive Officer Olav Eek Thorstensen has high expectations.
