Baan Sabaijai, the Norwegian nursing facility in Pattaya, celebrated on the Sunday the 10th of February its fourth anniversary. About a hundred people, mainly Scandinavian residents in Pattaya, gathered in the beautifully decorated patio by the pool in celebration of four successful years of caring for disabled and handicapped Scandinavians.
A summer drink and a short presentation of the progress made through the past four years kicked of the party. A sunny blue sky was the appropriate backdrop of a dinner party involving a grilled pig, an overwhelming buffet with both Thai dishes and the more traditional Norwegian ‘lobscouse’ and to top that – drinks and wine.
In a formal ceremony the staff was acknowledged followed by an original Thai dance performance with beautifully dressed little girls. At the end of the evening, fireworks split the sky and a karaoke machine made for the entertainment for the rest of the night.
