Danish Design Houses Graced By Ambassadorial Visit

Rovsing Lauritzen, the Danish Ambassador to Singapore, visited Pilgrim and
Skagen on their adjoining Danish design-themed booths at the TFWA Asia Pacific
show.

Denmark’s leading design companies received a special guest at the TFWA Asia
Pacific show last week as the Danish Ambassador to Singapore visited the stands
of fashion house Pilgrim and design watch specialist Skagen to admire their
wares.
    Appropriately
wearing her own Pilgrim necklace and one of her four Skagen watches, Ambassador
Vibeke Rovsing Lauritzen told the guests at Wednesday’s press conference that
she was “a frequent traveller and a heavy shopper”.
    Anders
Peter Juel Sauerberg, Managing Director of Norbreeze, which represents Pilgrim
and Skagen brands in Asia, said Asian travel
retail was “a hotspot of opportunities for Danish design”,
particularly for mid-priced and high quality products.
    Created in
partnership with Norbreeze, the Danish Design Lounge at TFWA enabled Pilgrim’s
and Skagen’s guests and customers to relax in a lounge-style environment set up
between the two brands’ booths. Complete with Fritz Hansen furniture and Bang
& Olufsen flat screens showing the Pilgrim and Skagen DVDs, the concept
included a bar serving cocktails from a Danish drink menu.
