SEB targeted by Singaporean swindler

Swedish bank SEB is one of several foreign banks, the other are German and Japanese, that extended loans to a Singaporean man who pretended to take the credits on behalf of his then employer Asia Pacific Breweries.
The total amount obtained by the former finance manager at the brewery is close to USD 70 million, writes Swedish daily SvD. SEB reportedly lent the man USD 3 million.
SEB spokeswoman Gunilla Wikman says to the newspaper that the scam will not affect SEB at all.
The swindler is currently on trial in Singapore.
