Vestas Ceo Joins Advisory Panel

Ditlev Engel, the CEO of Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems, has accepted an invitation to join the International Advisory Panel (IAP) on Energy from the Singaporean Ministry of Trade and Industry, the company writes in a press release. IAP will help ensure that Singapore’s energy policies are relevant and forward-looking.
    Together with other international senior executives and opinion formers in the energy industry, Ditlev Engel will provide advice on key energy issues and energy policies as well as insights and perspectives on developments in the global energy arena to the Singaporean government.
    The IAP is chaired by the Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr S. Iswaran, and will meet two or three times a year. The members are elected for a 2 year period.
    Vestas Wind Systems is headquartered in Randers, Jutland, and employs 17,000 people worldwide. The company has installed more than 35,000 wind turbines in 63 countries on five continents, and has a 23% share of the world market.
