At the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) which took place at Balai Kartini in Jakarta, 1-2 November 2008, Sweden was represented by the Swedish Embassy and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). More than 10,000 well targeted visitors attended the two days fair.
The aim of this fair was to provide visitors with details about study programmers, enrolment procedures, language requirements, living conditions, available scholarships, and general information about studying and living in the European Union countries, including Sweden.
The Swedish booth was equipped with internet connection and a screen which made it possible for the visitors to take a look at the gateway to information about studying in Sweden on the internet www.studyinsweden.se. Administered by the Swedish Institute, this website provides important details on higher education in Sweden, such as international master’s programmes, application procedures, requirements, as well as available scholarships for foreign students.
The visitors also had the chance to have discussion with representatives from the Swedish Embassy and several Indonesian alumni of Swedish universities who helped to man the booth, promoting Sweden as an attractive destination for Indonesian students interested in studying abroad. The Embassy is grateful for the valuable assistance given by these alumni.
