Three documentary films about Long Bien Bridge, shot by Vietnamese and Danish film-makers, will be presented to Hanoian audiences at the National Cinema Centre on November 30.
The event is co-organised by the Denmark-Vietnam Cultural Development and Exchange Foundation, the Danish Embassy in Hanoi and the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Company.
“Hanoi has Long Bien Bridge” by Pham Cuong and Vu Tru describes Long Bien as a symbol of Hanoi.
A movie directed by Nguyen Sy Chung captures real and moving pictures about the lives of disadvantaged people who live under the bridge piers.
A 30-minute film about Long Bien Bridge by three Danish film-makers, Steen Moller Rasmussen, Cai Ulrich v. Platen and Peter Schultz Jorgensen, will also be introduced. The movie, funded by the Denmark-Vietnam Cultural Development and Exchange Foundation, is about daily life in connection with the bridge.
