Crown Princess Mary Continues Sightseeing in Bangkok

It couldn’t be worse timing.
The Crown Prince Couple’s official visit to Thailand due to the celebration of the 150 year anniversary for the establishment of diplomatic relationship between the two nations, has been totally overshadowed by the country’s political chaos.
It was no longer impossible to ignore on Tuesday night when when thousands of protesters from PAD stormed into the busy terminal and stopped all the flights and left tourists stranded.

Still, the show must go on for Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary and the night’s dangerous riots, where a minimum of 12 people have been injured by bombs around the capital, have no impact on their programme.

Tuesday afternoon before all flights were cancelled, they got on a plane to Hua Hin where they were granted an audience with the King and Queen of Thailand.
Today, Wednesday they also continue their schedule as planned. The Crown Princess is visiting a Community Medical Unit Center, going to a Wat Chinna Wararam School where children are performing Thai Traditional music, and a temple where she is watching fish being fed.
Crown Prince Frederik is visiting Danish companies; ironically one is specialized in life-saving equipment. He is also seeing an energy model home.
Tonight they are both attending a charity dinner.
The show must go on.
