Danish Minister’s Arrival Postponed For Thursday

Arrival of Danish Foreign Minister Dr Per Stig Moller has been postponed until Thursday. The Danish minister was scheduled to arrive in the capital for a three-day goodwill visit with a three member delegation via Bankok on Wednesday.
Issuing a statement, the Embassy of Denmark in Kathmandu said that the arrival has been postponed since Bangkok Airport has been closed and all flights are cancelled due to the internal political conflict in Thailand.
This is Dr Moller’s second attempt to visit Nepal since October last year when he had to return home from New Delhi to attend an unfolding domestic political situation.
Minister Dr Moller is visiting Nepal at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Upendra Yadav. Minister Yadav had made a brief stopover in Denmark in September on his way to New York for the UN General Assembly meeting.
