Norwegian NGO Criticises Intex Resouces in the Phillipines

According to the NGO “Framtiden I våre hender” (The future is in our hands) the Norwegian mining and exploration company Intex Resources breaks OECD’s regulations for multinational companies if they carry on with their plans to establish a factory in the Mindoro-area in the Philippines.
The NGO states, that the factory is a threat to the local water-environment because it is located close to the rivers, which provides water to the agriculture and villages in the neigbourhood.
“The construction of the factory breaks several laws and should never have been approved,” says the director of the organisation Arid Hermstad
