Scandinavian Jazz in Vietnam

A European Jazz Festival in Vietnam in mid-November is under preparation, involving among others bands or individual musicians from Denmark, Sweden and Norway.       From Denmark, a concert with Alex Riel trio is scheduled for Sunday 9 November in Ho Chi Minh City and in Hanoi on Wednesday 12 November. In Hanoi, the German jazz musiscian Buchner will also play together with the trio. On Sunday 16 November, a jazz brunch with Alex Riel is also planned to take place at Hotel Metropole.       From Sweden, a concert with Peter Nordahl trio is scheduled for Saturday 8 November in Hanoi and Monday 10 November in Ho Chi Minh City. Peter Nordahl trio will also play at a jazz brunch on Saturday 15 November at Hotel Metropole.       From Norway, a concert with Sigurd Ulveseth quartet is scheduled for Tuesday 11 November in Ho Chi Minh City and on Thursday 13 November in Hanoi. A brunch at Metropole with Sigurd Ulveseth quartet is planned for Friday 14 November.       At the end of the EU Jazz Festival, a session is planned with a quartet composed of among others Alex Riel and Peter Nordahl.       “We are working on more details,” says Rolf Kromand, PSD Assistant and Cultural Coordinator at the Royal Danish Embassy in Hanoi.       “Information on where and in particular how to get tickets for the festival will be available later.”       All information regarding the EU Jazz Festival will be distributed among others via the ScandMail-vn egroup as it is released.
