Volvo Assembly Factory in Thailand Closed Down

The Volvo Assembly factory in Samut-Prakarn outside Bangkok is possibly about to close due to bad sales figures.


Volvo Car Thailand, who is responsible for the national marketing and sale of the car in Thailand, confirms that the factory is closed down for at least the next three month, and that the sale of the Swedish car has stopped for the rest of the year.


The car industry I partially hit by the financial crises, and most car producing companies has announced lay offs and cut back in order to survive.
