Five Thai films to be screened at Stockholm festival

Thailand is in the spotlight with five films selected for screening at the upcoming Stockholm International Film Festival, 13 – 23 November 2003.
     The films are Fake by Thanakorn Pongsuwan, Mehkong Full Moon Party by Keng-jira Malikul, One Night Husband by Pimpaka Towira, Ong Bak by Prachya Pinkaew and Sayew by Khongdej Jaturanarasami and Kiat Songsanan.
     The directors Prachya Pinkaew, Jira Malikul and Pimpaka Towira have been invited to Stockholm and participate in a Spotlight Thailand discussion during the festival.
     Other prominent Thais invited are Choophong Ratanabanthoon, Managing Director at GMM Movies, Somsak Techaratanaprasert, head of the National Film Association of Thailand and Kriengsak Silakong, Program Manager for the Bangkok International Film Festival. 160 films from almost 40 countries will be shown during the ten day festival.
