The Norwegian related company, MARIS Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, has been given the Minister’s Innovation Award from Singapore’s Ministry of Transport.
Mr Bhupesh Gandhi, Director Asia Pacific, was presented with the award in recognition of the contribution towards the project “Wireless Broadband Maritime Services at Sea”.

The Research Council of Norway and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore has had an MOU on maritime research and development since 2000. Maritime communications is one of the fields covered by this MOU.
