Johnny Reimar’s Party at Stable Lodge

”Du burde købe dig en Tyrolerhat”, ”Lille Frejnede Louise” and ”Sikke’n Fest”.
It felt like a Danish Festival in the middle of Bangkok when Danish crooner Johnny Reimar hit the capital of Thailand on Wednesday 13th of January.
‘Smølfefar’ was in Bangkok to give the traditional charity concert at the Danish restaurant, Stable Lodge on Sukhumvit Soi 8.  All tables in the beautiful garden were full and the around 60 Danes were in good spirit and sang along to Johnny Reimar’s hit songs.
The occasion was the annual charity concert for the Pattaya Orphanage that Johnny Reimar has been sponsoring for many years. The Danes clapped, sang along and drank beers and the atmosphere was in top when the live music filled the Stable Lodge with Danish ‘hygge’.
And the result spoke for itself. In total, Johnny Reimar managed to collect around 90,000 baht that he on Thursday will drive down to Pattaya to donate to the orphanage in person. He even auctioned the famous ‘Tyrolerhat’ in order to collect more money for the good cause. The event was sponsored by Jyske Bank and Stable Lodge. Finally, a generous anonymous donation topped up the amount.
After giving the proceeds from the concert to the orphanage, which is building a new house for Thai street kids, Johnny Reimar will go to Krabi to spend his holiday with his family.
