Jotun Expects 40 Percent Growth in Indonesia Sales This Year

The Norway-based paint producer PT Jotun Indonesia is optimistic that it will be able to increase its sales by about 40 percent to at least Rp 550 billion (about US$58 million) this year thanks to a surge in the country’s demand for paint.

“The target seems sensational, but an improvement in the economy will boost our sales,” Jotun Indonesia president director Bjorn Abraham Bache told reporters during a media visit to the Jotun factory in Bekasi.

The company also plans to increase its production to 14 million liters this year from 9.9 million liters last year to meet the growing demand, he added. – JP
