Norway’s support for school construction in Vietnam continues

Norway’s support for Vietnam in the latter’s project to construction schools in flood-prone areas has now completed its first phase, which saw 19 schools with 184 classrooms built between 2001-2003 in the central provinces of Quang Tri, Thua Thien – Hue, and Quang Nam.
     A conference among officials from the Norwegian Embassy in Vietnam and the People’s Committees of the three provinces was held in Hoi An on October 28 to review the completed phase of the project, which was a total investment of VND23.6 billion (USD1.6 million), reports Viet Nam News.
     In phase two, the project will invest VND18.1 billion (almost USD1.2 million) to build twelve schools with 128 classrooms in eight districts and towns in Quang Nam Province.
