Norway at Expo 2010 is proud to present “The Norwegian Evening” at Expo in cooperation with Secret Garden and I.M. Skaugen. Secret Garden front figure and composer, Rolf Løvland, has written an orchestral suite especially for Norway’s pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. The suite can be experienced every evening as a multimedia performance in the Norwegian Pavilion.
Secret Garden is undoubtedly one of Norway’s biggest cultural exports to China and Asia. Known for lyrical songs like Nocturne and You Raise Me Up, they have millions of fans across China.
As part of Norway’s participation at the World Expo in Shanghai, Secret Garden and Norway at Expo will work closely together to bring the concept ‘Norway. Powered by Nature’ home to the people of China. “The Norwegian Evening” will give visitors at the Norwegian Pavilion a truly unique experience of Norwegian nature, the northern lights and Norwegian life.

Every evening from seven to eleven, during the whole Expo period, the pavilion will transform into a magical garden. Here, more than 100 TV screens, 400 spotlights and hidden loudspeakers will give you a multimedia experience of a lifetime.
“The Norwegian Evening” truly enables the Norwegian Pavilion to differentiate from the other pavilions. CEO of I.M Skaugen, Morits Skaugen, explains their support of the production of the “Norwegian Evening” in the following way: “One of our main principles is to be part of things that are different; as a leading maritime service provider we want to differentiate ourselves from our competitors in all aspects. To be a part of Expo 2010, in a special way, is such an opportunity”.
