Danish Furnishing Chain Hits China

Danish home furnishing giant Jysk opened its first store in China yesterday, and founder Lars Larsen was personally on hand to cut the ribbon.

The new store, located in Shanghai, was the 1,641st in the chain’s history. Larsen said he eventually wants to open up to 500 stores in China.

Immediate plans, however, are for the company to open around 10 new stores across the Asian country by the end of the year.
