A Record Number of Guests Celebrates the Danish Summer in Beijing

This year,
360 people participated in the party, 110 of those were children. This large
number reflects the positive development of the relations between Denmark and China.

 

This year
there was a focus on making the summer party fun for the children, and there
was plenty of opportunity for the children to have fun and participate in
various fun and games.

 

The summer
party is an event that brings together Danes and Chinese with a relation to the
Danish community, and 2010 is a very special year for Danish- Chinese
relations.

This year
marks the 60th anniversary of Sino-Danish relations, which was mentioned
in the
welcoming speech by the acting ambassador Mr. Søren Jacobsen

 

Mr. Søren
Jacobsen also mentioned that Denmark
has made a good impression at the 2010 EXPO, because The Little Mermaid has
been sent to Shanghai, which is seen as a sign
of the good relationship between Denmark
and China.

 

Apart from
Søren Jacobsen, DCCC chairman Humphrey Lau also gave a speech, later in
the
evening there was live music and various entertaining events.
