The new restaurant was opened on Wednesday last week for the Danish Skt. Hans Aften. At 6.30 pm, there was a well visited reception. Unfortunately, the weather gods did not bless the evening with clear skies and everyone got wet during the 9 o’clock tropical shower. Still, the evening was a success and people kept coming in.
Pet Hot ScandiAsia in Pattaya has been a family owned business for the past two years. It still is, but now the owners have finally finished and opened a new restaurant, which targets the many Scandinavians that have made this beach town area their home.
However, according to Peter Jacobsen, the owner of the restaurant, the intention is not to create a meeting point for Scandinavians only:
“We are not a roast pork restaurant or a place where we sing Danish soccer songs,” he says.
“We want to have a mix of guests of approximately 60 percent foreigners and 40 percent Thai.”
This goal reflects itself in the menu – an exciting mix of East and West. The lunch menu consists of traditional Danish dishes and Isan – Korat Thai specialties. For dinner, there will be a European and a Thai menu to choose from as well as daily specials.
“Food of the highest quality at affordable prices,” Peter Jacobsen says.
The restaurant, which is also a pub, has darts, pool, a tropical garden, and a play ground for the kids. The new restaurant, Pet Hot ScandiAsia, can be found on Sukhumvit between Sattahip and Ban Sarey.
