Out-going Ambassador Gets Recognition

The out-going Ambassador of Sweden, Mr Rolf Bergman has been honoured the Medal in Recognition of Contributions to Inspectorate Cause.

The Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam, Minister Tran Van Truyen on Monday, 9 August pinned the Medal on the Swedish Ambassador and thanked him and his colleagues at the Embassy for their contributions to enhancing the comprehensive capacities of the inspection system as well as anti-corruption activities of the Government of Vietnam.

He also appreciated the Ambassador’s positive collaboration in successfully organising seven Anti-Corruption Dialogue meetings between the Government of Vietnam and the Development Partners.


Speaking after receiving the Medal, the Ambassador, Mr Rolf Bergman expressed his great honour to receive the Medal also on behalf of all his colleagues at the Swedish Embassy. Mr Bergman said:

“Our two Governments stand united when it comes to put the fight against corruption very high on the agenda. Anti-corruption is a long and hard-working endeavour but I’m confident that Vietnam and its people will succeed in this combat against the evil of corruption, which deprives the people of its wealth and well-being.”
