Queen Silvia foundation signs cooperation agreement

A cooperation agreement has been signed between the World Childhood Foundation – WCF, which is founded by Queen Silvia of Sweden, and the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women – ASPW, under the patronage of Princess Soamsawali of Thailand.
“We will begin with general discussions before we go into any details about a concrete first project,” said Queen Silvia to Scandasia after the signing ceremony on Tuesday morning at the ASPW’s Kanitnaree Center in northern Bangkok.
The main mission for WCF is to defend the rights of the child to a secure childhood while APSW is focused on helping both women and children who are victims of forced prostitution, rape, HIV/AIDS, unemployment, abandonment, physical and mental abuse.
WCF’s cooperation in Thailand has been made financially possible by Volvo Car (Thailand). Volvo Car Sweden and WCF have worked together for several years.
