EAC Thailand Changes Name

In July the EAC Group announced that it had divested its Industrial Ingredients business, including The East Asiatic (Thailand) Public Company Ltd. (EACT), to Brenntag, one of the global leaders within chemicals distribution.  EACT has now changed name to Brenntag Ingredients (Thailand) Public Company Limited and similar name changes are in progress in other countries in the region.

Brenntag acquired the entire EAC Industrial Ingredients organization and the entire EAC Industrial Ingredients Management Team and staff will continue in the Brenntag organization in the same or better positions.  Jan Dam Pedersen continues as Managing Director of Brenntag Ingredients (Thailand) Public Company Limited and has also been appointed as President Brenntag South East Asia as well as Chairman of Brenntag Ingredients Thailand.  Furthermore, he will join the Brenntag Asia Pacific Board.

“The coming months will clearly be focused on integration of the ex-EAC and the Brenntag organizations” said Jan Dam Pedersen in the first issue of EACII Insider News following the acquisition.

“As the former EACT is by far the larger of the two organizations in Thailand, plans are in progress to integrate the Brenntag Thailand organization into Brenntag Ingredients Thailand”, Jan Dam Pedersen added.  Knud Mohr from EACT was appointed Integration Manager and will now lead the integration process in the Asia Pacific region.
