Eight Vietnamese artists have been selected for the final round of a painting contest launched by the Denmark-Vietnam Cultural Development and Exchange Fund (CDEF).
According to the Danish Embassy’s announcement on October 1, the finalists include Dao Anh Viet, Luong Van Trung, Le Tran Tuan Anh, Nguyen Hong Phuong, Pham Tuan Tu, Le Hoang Bich Phuong, Nguyen Xuan Hoang and Nguyen The Hung.
All entries will be posted on the website and be displayed at an exhibition at Vietnam University of Fine Arts on October 18.
The public can view all the entries and favorite artists and works on the website. There is also a VND2-million prize for the best comment.
Danish Ambassador John Nielsen said this year’s Talent Prize themed “Paintings” aims to seek out original, unique and creative artists in order to promote innovation in painting.
