A 40-year-old housewife in Singapore has been charged with seven counts of maid abuse.
Koh Bee Choo allegedly hurt 33-year-old Catalina Galvez Calibayan in a flat at Block 711 Tampines Street 71 between 30 June and 25 July last year.
It’s believed Koh had slapped the Filipino maid several times.
She is also alleged to have stomped onto Ms Calibayan’s right foot and used a plastic container to hit the maid’s face.
Koh, who’s represented by lawyer, Tan Kay Bin will be back in court on 4 November.
If convicted of maid abuse, for each charge, she could be jailed up to three years and fined up to $7,500.
