SIDA funds improvement of nine more roads in Laos

The Communication, Transport, Post and Construction Service of Khammouane Province in Laos has recently signed contracts with four local road construction companies to improve nine roads in five districts of the province.
     This road renovation project is funded 70 percent by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), and the balance by the Lao government.
     The contracts were signed by Mr. Nouvong Phouthone, Deputy Chief of Communication, Transport, Post and Construction Service of Khammouane province and the representatives of the four companies.
     The planned completion the road construction is set for mid of May this year.
