Novozymes Expands in Tianjin

The Danish company Novozymes celebrated on 13 December the expansion of its biotechnology facilities in TEDA (Tianjin economic-technological development area) The Deputy Head of Mission from the Danish Embassy in China, Søren Jacobsen, participated in the ceremony.
“Tianjin has become an important hub for Danish companies,” Mr. Jacobsen said in his opening speech.
Apart from Novozymes, Novo Nordisk and Vestas and other Danish companies are also expanding fast in TEDA. In June of this year, the Danish Embassy and TEDA eco centre facilitated the establishment of TEDA Club for Sustainable Business in order for the companies in TEDA to share experiences and exchange waste on a commercial basis.
Søren Jacobsen also attended a bilateral meeting with He Lifeng, deputy party secretary of Tianjin before Novozymes’ expansion ceremony.
