Wozniacki Arrived in Thailand

Denmark’s Wozniacki will play Clijsters of Belgium in an exhibition match in honour of His Majesty the King at Hua Hin’s Centennial Park on Saturday.

Wozniacki played at the Pattaya Open three years ago but this is her first visit to Hua Hin, and the Dane was happy to arrive.

“It is very cold in Europe now. The weather here is fine and I love it,” she said.

Wozniacki said earlier that she wanted to beat Clijsters to avenge her losses against the Belgian at the US Open and the WTA Championships.

Wozniacki and Clijsters, who will arrive here tomorrow, will sign a get-well book for His Majesty the King at Siriraj hospital on Thursday.
They will then meet Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva at Government House and go sightseeing along the Chao Phraya River.

They both will wear pink outfits during their match in honour of His Majesty as Thais believe the colour will give the King good health.

The Wozniacki v Clijsters match will be televised live at 5pm on Channel 9, ESPN and Tennis Channel.
Tickets are 1,500 baht each and available at Thai Ticket Major outlets.
