Dane Wins Best Game in Thailand Award

The 43-year-old Torben Rudgaard from Denmark received the prices at a big award show at the Government Centre of Thailand.

“We have been working 30 people for eight months to create a new game for Facebook”, says Torben Rudgaard, CEO and founder of FlipInvert.

The game is called “Island Escape” where you get an empty island like Kho Larn and have to turn it into a tourist paradise like Pattaya with hotels, restaurants, bars and night life.

The game was created and designed by the team of very high skilled Thai designers and artists, whom he hired in Bangkok and Pattaya.

“I am very proud of my team and happy to find so skilled and hard working professionals in Thailand. They can easily compete with the best of Europe and USA, so the world better watch out for Thailand in the computer game business,” says Torben Rudgaard.

The TESA 2010 Award was presented by Mrs. Jirawan Boonperm from the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.

Island Escape has already been played by more than 250,000 people and is very popular on Facebook. Any readers who wish to try can go to and play it for free.
