Spacious Space, Delicious Thai Food

Ryan Thai is the first Thai restaurant in Finland and in Helsinki, so this place has a long history. This restaurant used to be located where sushi place Day and Nite (check the Day and Nite article) is located now. They have the same owner.

This place was too small for this popular Thai restaurant, so they moved to where they now are in Kaisaniemi.

The restaurant is very spacious and decorated in traditional Thai style. It’s located on the second floor – which I think makes this restaurant even nicer and more peaceful.

Ryan Thai is one of those places where you can have romantic dinner for two. Or then you can go there with your family and kids or with larger group of friends (just remember reservation for a group) and they manage to serve you just the right way.

The stuff is dressed in traditional Thai dresses, which I think is nice. My favourite dishes are Tom Yam soup with king prawns and fish cakes for starters.

They serve great “all you can eat” / buffet lunch in weekdays from 11:00 to 15:00. The price for lunch is 8.50 euros.

I am sorry about the messy picture. Next time when I go here I will take a better one, since this picture does not give the correct impression about this place. Please visit the restaurants web-page to see how beautiful this place is. And just like in Thailand – they love their air-con! So remember to dress properly.
