Swedish Minister of Defence, Mr. Sten Tolgfors, has paid a visit to Singapore. He met his colleague, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Mr. Teo Chee Hean, as well as Second Minister for Defence Dr. Ng Eng Hen.
As part of his program, Mr. Tolgfors also visited the Changi Naval Base.
Sweden and Singapore co-operate in i.a. the naval sector. Singapore has bought submarines from Sweden. Training for the Singapore submarine crew is provided for in the Swedish city Karlskrona.
