Vietnamese-Danish Water Days 2011

A Danish delegation of 11 companies will visit Vietnam from 28 March to 1 April to explore business opportunities and meet potential partners in the urban water and waste water treatment sector in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Representatives from relevant authorities, institutions, donors, financing institutions and not least a large number of Danish and Vietnamese companies in the water sector will take part in the conference.

Vietnam is with its rapid socio-economic development experiencing a strong pressure on its natural resources and the environment. The lack of treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater is a growing concern. The ratio of tap water loss in Vietnam’s major cities is close to 40% due to widespread leakages from outdated pipeline systems. Many places waste water is not being treated properly causing pollution of rivers, water supply, and the environment.

Strict Danish environmental legislation has led to the development of a very efficient Danish water industry and a cleaner environment in Denmark. Danish companies have developed a number of innovative services and products for the water sector.

At the business seminar the following Danish companies will present their water solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable development of the water sector in Vietnam:

– AVK
– Danfoss
– DGE Group
– DHI
– Danish Water Forum
– Grontmij/Carl Bro
– Grundfos
– Howden Water Technology
– Krüger
– MT Højgaard
– DanAqua

The business seminar will take place Tuesday 29th March 2011 in Hanoi. After the seminar matchmaking meetings will be held.
