The Danish wind turbine producer Vestas announced today that it has received an order from China of 50 MW. The order is placed by China Datang Corporation Renewable Power which Vestas has worked with on many projects since 2005.
According to the new contract Vestas will deliver 25 units of the V90-2.0 MW wind turbine, which will be installed in the north eastern part of Inner Mongolia. The turbines are scheduled to be delivered in the second quarter of 2011.
In addition to delivery of the turbines, the contract includes installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution as well as a service and maintenance agreement.
