Scandinavian Food & Jazz Week in Bangkok

May 13 the ”Simply Scandinavian” was launched at the Plaza Athénée Hotel Bangkok and will last until May 22.

Simply Scandinavian promotes both Scandinavian food and jazz. Guests will enjoy the beautiful voice of  Swedish singer, Annica Risberg accompanied by the Stockholm quartet, City-Jazz in the Glaz Bar before an impressive buffet-style dinner will be ready in the Rain Tree Café.

The event maker is the Swede Hans Wetterberg.

”This is the 7th time we do the Simply Scandinavian in Bangkok. I keep on doing this for both business and pleasure and the musicians has great time playing jazz in Asia. It makes it a little easier for me to negotiate when I ask them to play at my floating jazz club in Sweden”, he tells with a smile.

Simply Scandinavian was opened by the ambassadors from Finland and Denmark together with the Consulate General of Iceland.
The Ambassador of Denmark, Mikael Hemniti Winther says:

”I am here with my wife tonight to enjoy the music and the food, I really appreciate live music. On top of that I believe that it is my duty to support events like this, if I can find the time doing so”.

Chef de Cuisine is Björn Ekstrand from Finland. He is presenting an impressive range of cold and warm dishes. Meatballs, cold cuts, herring, smoked eel and salmon just to mention a few of the delicious things from the buffet.
