Ericsson CEO to speak at Singapore luncheon in June

Mr. Carl-Henric Svanberg, President and CEO of Ericsson, will during his visit to Singapore in mid-June hold a speech on June 16 at a luncheon at the Institute of Policy Studies on “Communications of the Future: Global Experiences & Learning” at the Pan Pacific Hotel.
      Mr. Svanberg will discuss the potential impact that 3G will have on lifestyles of the future and on public networks in terms of national security and public safety. He will also share some of the early lessons, learning and experiences taken form those who already have explored the world of communications.
      A highly respected executive in the Swedish industry, Mr. Svanberg has built a reputation of spotting opportunities and growing companies. Before he joined Ericsson and boosted the company’s income, he was the former President and CEO of Assa Abloy Group, the world’s leading lock group, where he was also accounted for its success. Prior to that, Mr. Svanberg worked for Securitas, the world’s leading security company and it seems that wherever he went, Mr. Svanberg turned the company to profitability.
      Through SBAS- Swedish Business Association Singapore, IPS has extended an invitation to the Swedish business community in Singapore and other interested participants to attend this session.
