Klas Molin has been announced as the new ambassador of Sweden to Thailand.
He will replace Mr. Lennart Linner who has left Bangkok several weeks ago. Mr. Molin was previously the Director of the Asia and Pacific Department at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Could that Department be af victim of brain drain? Cambodjas first Swedish Ambassador Ms Anne Höglund came from the very same Department.
Klas Molin is not a new face in Bangkok, he has been appointed to a position in Bangkok before, but this appointment is a big step upwards within the organisation.
Mr. Molin has also previously worked as a diplomat at the Swedish Embassy i Washington, and has also served at the Swedish UN- representation in New York.
Klas Molin will take up his new post in August 2011.
