The Case against Mr. Eriksson Sirawan Came to an End

The drug case against Kim Roger Eriksson Sirawan was continued in the Criminal Court Bangkok today, Thursday August 11 2011.
At the previous court meeting on June 17 2011 Kim Roger Eriksson Sirawan´s defense lawyers asked the court for the trial to be postponed in order to find time to find their key witness, a Swede named Thomas Lilius. The Criminal Court Bangkok has called for Mr. Lilius but Mr. Lilius did not show up in the court today.
Today the judge asked the defense if they would ask for any further postponing of the trial in order to find Mr. Lilius. The defense, and Mr. Eriksson Sirawan, told the court that they did not find it likely that Mr. Lilius would meet in court even if more time was given.
Mr. Eriksson Sirawan´s defense lawyer, Mr. Chakrit Parameedireklap told ScandAsia that:
”We found that it is proven by now that we are unable to make Mr. Lilius to show up here in Bangkok and we can present no further witnesses.”
The judge closed the case and announced that the verdict will be presented in the court on September 22 2011.
When Mr. Eriksson Sirawan was escorted from the courtroom, ScandAsia asked him about the assistance he received by his home country, Sweden.
”I have seen very little interest for my case from the Swedish authorities”, Mr. Eriksson Sirawan said.
