Philippines Department of Tourism London reports a meteoric rise in tourism arrivals to the Philippines in April as compared to the same period last year. In April 2011, visitor traffic from Northern Europe rose by 42.2% amounting to 15,690 visitors. The UK registered a 36% growth rate, Denmark 53.3%, Finland 47.3%, Ireland 45.7%, Norway 75.3%, and Sweden 55%.
On the other hand, Southern Europe showed a 5.2% growth rate; with a 54.4% increase from Spain.
