Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand meets UN ESCAP

Staffan Herrström, the Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand met with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Executive Secretary, Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana and her colleagues at the meeting about sustainable development in Thailand.

During the meeting, the Ambassador and the representatives from United Nations ESCAP were discussing a cooperation supporting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the benefit from collaboration with ESCAP.

The Embassy of Sweden posted on Facebook that “the partnership with ESCAP will strengthen the regional dialogue on the public participation towards SDG environment-related goals” including climate action, clean water and sanitation, life below water and life on earth.

The purpose of the meeting is not only about environmental discussion, but also a preparation for the Embassy’s Annual Partner Meeting that is going to be held on 25-26 March 2019 and the Sixth Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) on 27-28 March 2019.
