Anders Helgesen voted off the Comedian Thailand Show

The “Comedian Thailand Show” contestant Anders Yotsapon Helgesen was eliminated from the competition on Sunday evening on the Live Show. He was competing on his eighth week in a Li Kay-themed – Thailand’s popular folk theatre – performance.

“Of course, I am sad that I’m not able to complete the course on the show. But I’m very grateful to have come this far,” said Anders in an interview with ScandAsia.

This week proved a tough week for the young Norwegian-Thai star who had to sing, move and recite words in a Thai traditional style. Unlike last week when he was praised by all the judges for a “flawless performance,” he was this week unmentioned by the panel.

“The show offered me a chance to try many new things – singing, dancing, acting and etc. I’ve never been trained to act before and now I feel like I’m more focused when doing it. Another improvement is I can feel my inner feeling when I act,” the 19-year-old comedian said.

He said as of now he is not sure of which path in the entertainment business will lead him. However, he is very open as the “Comedian” show has provided him with a varsity of skills.

“If there’s an opportunity, I can be a comedian. I don’t mind. It is fun,” said Anders.
