Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur’s Swedish GM launched sky bar

Vertigo, at Banyan Tree hotel is one of Bangkok’s most well rooftop venues. Now Kuala Lumpur has its very own Vertigo sky bar, at the brand new Banyan Tree property there!

Banyan Tree, Kuala Lumpur’s Swedish General Manager Anders Dimblad, at an evening of glitz and glamour, inaugurated their Vertigo in early July. The opening night was a movie-themed celebration, reminiscent of a Hollywood premiere red-carpet gala.

This indoor and outdoor sky bar offers an incredible panorama view of the whole valley where Kuala Lumpur is situated and the entire city skyline, perched on the 59th floor of the brand new Banyan Tree, infusing the brand’s signature flair with stunning views.

Banyan Tree is certain to set the benchmark among KL’s thriving rooftop bar scene with accomplished mixologists, a signature menu featuring Southeast Asian-inspired tapas and some of the hottest DJs to create an unforgettable experience.

“Vertigo and Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur as a hotel have set a clear and definitive vision to be the most exclusive urban luxury resort within the city. Our ambition is to exceed customer expectation, creating and delivering remarkable guest experiences that combine Banyan Tree’s signature service standard coupled with highly-acclaimed Malaysian hospitality,” remarked Anders Dimblad.

“While Kuala Lumpur has been known for its vibrant nightlife, I would like to think no one has seen anything quite like Vertigo with a direct, unobstructed view of the city scape from the 59th floor! Guests at Vertigo can revel in a distinct offering that is unique only to us – this is the Banyan Tree signature experience and our guests will find this throughout our entire establishment, with world-class hospitality for which the brand is renowned.”

“No matter which of our signature properties you visit, you will experience the authentic Banyan Tree product, typically within an awe-inspiring setting. This is the heartbeat of the Banyan Tree brand, which will be infused within Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. While guests may very well be in the centre of Kuala Lumpur’s central business district, no matter where in the world they are from, they will have their very own haven to come home to, with our very own identifiable identity,” the GM added.

The newly opened Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur is nestled within the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle. It boasts 55 lushly appointed rooms and suites, ranging from 51 to 200 square metres with exquisite contemporary flair, with most rooms offering breath-taking close-up views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline, including a view of the Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower.

Anders Dimblad is a veteran hotelier with over 19 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. He returned to Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts in February 2016 as General Manager of Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. This follows 10 years of successful management tenures with the Group from 2004 to 2014.
